Waterfalls - Getting Them to Show Up!
This information came up while talking with Whisperingtruth about CAW, and I wanted to make sure it was recorded for others making their own world.
To place a waterfall in your world, search for waterfall in the objects section of CAW. You should see several types of waterfalls (short, long, various of both) as well as a "splash" object that matches each waterfall name. When placing your waterfall, the splash object should be placed at the bottom where the waterfall lands so that you get a realistic ripple and mist effect.
Getting the waterfall to show up and look realistic may take some object rotating and moving. I experimented with the height to make mine leave the cliff at the right level. I found the following post on the Sims 3 official forum very useful for figuring out how to move the waterfall. I hope it helps you, too!

FYI When you view your world in Edit In Game, your waterfall may not appear to be working. Notice (unlike myself) the big red Pause button in the corner of your screen. The waterfall isn't running by default. You have to unpause the game to start time and then the water will flow!
